SSNR 2026 Poster
Exploratory work on Active Inference for human-robot shared control, presented at the Summer School on Neurorehabilitation.
In June 2026, I attended the Summer School on Neurorehabilitation (SSNR), where I presented early-stage research titled “Keeping it Level: Designing an Active Inference Reflex Arc for Shared Control”.
This poster introduced a foundational concept for my ongoing research: adapting Active Inference to overcome the bottleneck of intention detection in physical human-robot collaboration.
The work showcased an initial 2D simulation environment designed to test how an AI agent and a human operator can intuitively share control of a dynamic payload. By framing the control problem through the lens of free-energy minimization, the agent learns to interpret and react to human inputs dynamically, acting as a collaborative reflex arc.
Note: This specific architecture is currently being significantly expanded for a forthcoming publication. The full poster and detailed methodology will be made available here once the expanded system is officially published.
